Learn what to do when the “what ifs” of your outdoor adventures turn into the “now whats”. This course will teach you the best items to take on any outdoor adventure and how to best use them in a survival situation. Learn about water purification, how to navigate with and without a compass, how to build an emergency fire, how to determine the amount of daylight left, and basic first aid.
This course is designed for all outdoor enthusiasts and focuses on key elements for not simply surviving, but thriving when outdoor adventures turn into challenges. Led by Shenandoah Mountain Guides.

April date held at Skyland (mile 41.7 on Skyline Drive. May through October dates are at Big Meadows Lodge.
