At Jamestown Settlement, explore 17th-century culinary practices of Virginia. On Friday and Saturday, Nov. 26 and 27, visitors can discover how food was gathered, preserved and prepared on land and at sea by Virginia's English colonists and Powhatan Indians. A traditional Thanksgiving dinner will be served in the Jamestown Settlement Cafe on Thursday, Nov. 25, on a first-come, first-served basis.
At American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, learn about typical soldiers' fare during the war and trace the bounty of a Revolution-period farm from field to kitchen.
