The Virginia Living Museum brings a wild touch to receptions, corporate parties, banquets and celebrations for up to 500 people.
Rent the indoor exhibit area where live animals inhabit an Appalachian Cove and a Cypress Swamp. Enjoy the underwater world of the Chesapeake Bay and the underground world of a limestone cave. Have a cocktail party on the rooftop patio and look at the stars through the 16-inch telescope. Start your event on the outdoor deck overlooking Deer Park Lake and dance the night away on two levels inside. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres around the spiral staircase or a sit-down meal amongst the nocturnal animals.
Catering options are available for groups of all sizes. From September through December, the 4,000-sq-ft. Changing Exhibits Gallery is perfect for smaller meetings, receptions and holiday parties. Escape the boring ballroom...celebrate your ceremony and reception surrounded by the Conservation Garden with scenic amphitheater and beautiful waterfall.
Rentals of the indoor exhibit areas are scheduled after the museum closes at 5 p.m. The Conservation Garden is available for afternoon receptions, weddings and events. Multi-media equipped classrooms, science laboratory and conference rooms are available for daytime meetings.
