Highland Retreat is a year around Christian retreat center and camp closely affiliated with the Mennonite Church. We are located in the mountains of the Shenandoah Valley about 25 miles northwest of Harrisonburg, Virginia. Take Rt 42 north from Harrisonburg, then Rt 259 west from Broadway. Our 167 acres is close to the George Washington National Forest and offers scenic vistas as well as a wide variety of wildlife in its woods, hills, streams, ponds, and fields. We welcome all campers regardless of race, sex, age, handicap, national origin, or creed. The summer schedule offerings include younger and older kids overnight camps, teen breakaway camp, day camps, wilderness camps, family camp, and intergenerational camps. Discounts are offered for early registration, sibling discount, and financial need scholarships.
