The Liberty Hill Public Beach offers a wide expanse of white sand beach, light shade from waterfront trees, and ample parking.
This is also a great spot to view the John H. Kerr dam (the 4th largest dam in the U.S.), as well as the main body of Kerr Lake (the largest lake in Virginia).
This FREE beach is also a great spot to sit and watch the sun rise or set over the lake, or to view the abundant osprey, bald eagles, and other birds of the area.
This beach, like nearly all 800+ miles of shoreline around Kerr Lake, is owned and managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
