A PLACE TO STAY ON THE APPALACHIAN TRAIL - Everyone is welcome!
Both the “Main House” and "Cabbin" at Mountain Home B&B are open year-round!
Dating to 1847, the Main House has 3 private bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Rooms are simply but beautifully appointed with plush rugs and decorative fireplaces. Each of the two upstairs rooms has a full-sized poster bed, a daybed w/trundle, and built-in closets with lovely faux-bois doors. The first floor room is wheelchair accessible and has a queen sized bed and private, accessible bathroom with ADA-compliant vanity, toilet, and roll-in shower. Historic touches include the stately fireplace, high ceilings, antique furniture, and a vintage Edison hand-crank phonograph.
The Cabbin, a pre-1840's log cabin that now looks like a brick cottage, is generally used by hikers and other guests as shared space, but can also be rented out in its entirety. With 4 twin beds upstairs and 2 full-sized futons downstairs, a shared bathroom, and a small kitchen, the "Cabbin" is perfect for families and small groups.
Breakfast is included for all guests staying in both the Cabbin and the Main House. The food is simple but fresh, and is organic and sourced locally as much as possible.
