The Oakhurst Inn comprises three Craftsman-era residences which have undergone a careful historic renovation to provide the comforts of a modern hotel (a fourth building offers finely-furnished apartments with full kitchens for stays of one to three months). Seventeen guest rooms and 10 suites feature contemporary American furnishings, vintage hardwood floors, custom-made Queen and King-size beds, luxury linens, and fast, free wi-fi. Four libraries offer the chance to sit by a fire with a book and a coffee or cocktail from our Bistro Bar.
It is located directly adjacent to UVA's "South Lawn" and is a quarter-mile walk from Scott Stadium and the UVA Health System. The residential setting in a National Historic District is across the street from the University's Central Grounds, where Thomas Jefferson's famed Lawn and Rotunda comprise a noted UNESCO World Heritage site. A free "trolley" is available for the 1.5-mile trip to historic downtown.
The contemporary bistro is open for breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch. With advance notice, private dinners are available for groups or events.
