Rock Spring Cabin is located in the Central Section of the Shenandoah National Park. It lies on the western slope of Hawksbill Mountain and looks out across Page Valley to the Massanutten Range. It was built of squared logs by the Park in 1936. It has facilities for 8 people (4 wide bunks); outdoor fireplace under the over hanging roof, as well as a stove inside, both usable for cooking.
Bring your own light sources, such as flashlights, candles, and lanterns powered by batteries or fluid fuel. Rock Spring, which has never been known to go dry, is 50 yards to the right of the cabin. Hike in about 0.8 mi from parking area. A pit toilet outside is for human waste only. Toilet paper is not provided.
