We invite you to come and experience our counties rich agricultural abundance this weekend with a trip to MacKintosh Fruit Farm and Veramar Vineyard! Finish off the evening with a wonderful performance at the Barns of Rose Hill, a nonprofit performing arts venue that is housed in a beautifully restored 20th century dairy barn.

Mackintosh Fruit Farm is a family owned pick-your-own farm nestled in the beautiful Northern Shenandoah Valley. During the autumn months, Mackintosh offers its customers some of the best tasting apples in the area, including Golden Delicious, Fuji, and the always popular Honeycrisp. Mackintosh also offers homemade apple butter, local honey, and many varieties of heirloom pumpkins. Complete with a farm kitchen and children’s playground, Mackintosh Fruit Farm will soon become your favorite farm to visit in the fall!

Next, head to Veramar Vineyard, a beautiful family run winery that offers a wide variety of award-winning wines. While you are there, relax on their beautiful patio, which features magnificent views of the vineyards and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Veramar also offers several picnic offerings that perfectly complement each wine pairing.

Finish your day with an evening at the Barns of Rose Hill for their Bluegrass and Barbecue Series with The Hillbilly Gypsies. The Hillbilly Gypsies are a West Virginia native string band who specialize in playing their own homegrown style of Appalachian old time music. In addition to their original material, the Hillbilly Gypsies play a mix of traditional bluegrass and catchy old fiddle tunes. Award-winning BBQ from Jordan Springs Market be available for sale.

Apple harvest and blugrass have deep roots in our Clarke County. This weekend outing is certain to give our visitors a glimpse of our counties rich heritage.
