Day One: Prince William, Virginia
Begin your adventure at The Winery at La Grange. Enjoy wine tasting in the 18th-century home, snuggled into a chair by the fireplace or take a bottle outside for a picnic.
Continue indulging your senses with a visit to Farm Brew Live, Northern Virginia’s first destination brewery that features craft beer, craft food and, live local music, all situated around the spectacular, two-story, historic dairy barn.
Day Two: Prince William and Richmond, Virginia
Start your morning in Historic Occoquan to uncover its unique history and shop the variety of locally owned stores. Stop by Bottle Stop for a wine tasting then jump into the boots of a Marine at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. Grab lunch and a beer at the museum's colonial era tavern, Tun Tavern before heading to Richmond. Conveniently located off the interstate and just a few minutes north of Richmond, enjoy wine tasting at James River Cellars Winery.
Spend the afternoon strolling through lush Italian and Japanese gardens and a tour of Maymont, a gilded Victorian Mansion.
Day Three: Richmond, Virginia to Norfolk, Virginia
Enjoy a visit to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts for a great morning of exploration of more than 3,000 art collections. Explore Carytown for wonderful choices of dining and unique boutiques in Richmond before departing for Norfolk.
When you arrive in Norfolk begin the afternoon at the Norfolk Botanical Garden with lunch at their Marigold and Honey Cafe, the cafe pulls ingredients from their gardens to add to their delicious meals. Now it is time for a glass of wine and a pint of beer with the Norfolk Beer and Wine Tour with Coastal Food Tours of Virginia. Visit 3-4 local breweries and wineries on this tour complete with a tour of Ghent and small plate meals provided by the chefs. One stop is Norfolk’s first urban winery, Mermaid Winery. For dinner, sip over 50 wines from around the world at Press 626 Cafe & Wine Bar.
Day Four: Norfolk, Virginia
Before heading home, head to Pinot’s Palette to paint your very own masterpiece, and maybe even a painted wine bottle to commemorate your delicious visit.
