Virginia Beach’s coastal location provides unique ways for students to learn about the environment and reach their service goals.
Day 1 | Beach and Boardwalk
PM – Explore the iconic Virginia Beach Boardwalk, taking in the sounds of the majestic Atlantic. While on the boardwalk, visit the Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum to learn about our winged friends who call Virginia Beach home. Tonight, enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner at Beach Bully.
Day 2 | The Adventure Park at Virginia Aquarium
AM – Challenge the group with an aerial adventure on the ropes courses at The Adventure Park. Choose from 15 color-coded trails from beginner to advanced. Explore 800,000 gallons of aquariums, live animal habitats and over 300 hands-on exhibits at the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center.
PM – Continue outdoor exploration with a dolphin cruise, kayak excursion or bike ride through First Landing State Park. Waterfront dinner at a local’s favorite, Rockafeller’s, is the perfect ending to an adventure-filled day.
Day 3 | Eco-Wildlife Safari
AM – Head out to southern Virginia Beach for an Eco-Wildlife Safari at Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge or sharpen your treasure-hunting skills with a Beach Combing Adventure as you hike and discover nature’s treasures. A picnic lunch at Little Island Park caps the morning adventure.
PM – Take paddleboarding or surf lessons at Sandbridge Beach before heading back to the hotel. Eat and play at Dave & Buster’s for great food and evening entertainment.
Day 4 | Give Back - One Beach One World
AM – Spend the morning giving back. Roll up your sleeves and pants legs to improve the health of the Chesapeake Bay and understand its importance to our everyday survival.
