The Perry Glass Studio brings the Chrysler Museum of Art's internationally-acclaimed glass collection to life by showing visitors how these masterpieces were created. This state-of-the-art, working facility is the only one of its kind in the Mid-Atlantic region. The Studio offers programming for aspiring and master artists alike in a variety of processes.
FREE DEMONSTRATIONS
Get an up-close look at what it takes to create glassworks during free noon demonstrations at the Glass Studio. Watch glass take form as someone from the Studio team explains the dynamics of the glassmaking process. Reservations for the noon demos are recommended to help avoid standby lines. Get tickets at chrysler.org.
CLASSES
The Studio’s themed glassmaking classes explore a range of processes and cater to aspiring artists of all skill levels. Drop in for a class at the Studio or pick up a take-home fusing kit to play with glass at home. We have established new practices and implemented new equipment to allow for safe glassmaking. Class sizes are limited to allow for social distancing and are following health guidelines. Some classes are open to children as young as 5 years old.
