The Gretna Theatre brings the big screen to the small town. Located in Gretna, Virginia, this local theater shows the newest movies for only $8 per ticket. Concessions are available for convenience.
The Gretna Theatre was built in the mid 1900's as a movie theatre and later converted into a grocery store. After several years the grocery store was moved and a "Dime" store moved in that remained until around 2004 when it closed. The "Dime" store was then converted back into a theatre. In Oct. 2006, the Gretna Theatre was reborn into everything it was in the past, but with all the modern touches that make for a satisfying movie experience.
