Virginia is for Wine Lovers
With nearly 300 wineries scattered across seven different American Viticultural Areas – from the Shenandoah Valley’s mountainside estates to the lush vineyards surrounding Charlottesville and Loudon’s sprawling rows of vines that stretch from the border of West Virginia to Washington, D.C. – Virginia is the 5th largest wine producing region in the U.S.
The good news is that award-winning wines – and incredible wine experiences – are never out of reach in the Commonwealth. In fact, they’re all within a few hours or less of the state’s major metropolitans and airport hubs in Washington, D.C., Richmond and Virginia Beach.
Join us in celebrating Virginia Wine Month this October! It’s the perfect time for all wine lovers to experience the very best of Virginia winemaking during dozens of state-wide events, including festivals, special dinners, vineyard tours, tastings and much more.
