If you’d like to get out on the water, winter is prime time for whale watching. Several tours begin operations in December — book with Rudee Tours or the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center. For holiday fun, get tickets to drive through the Holiday Lights at the Beach display and see light-up jumping fish, crabs, penguins, and Surfing Santa take over the Boardwalk.
