Music festival season is in full swing by the time June rolls around, and many big-name musicians will be performing at festivals and venues around Virginia. From small tribute bands to the biggest names in pop and country, catch your favorite artists and discover new ones all over the Commonwealth.

MUSIC FESTIVALS

Williamsburg Live
Rock out with up-and-coming artists, grab a brew and dinner from a food truck, and enjoy an evening on Brown’s Island. This spring concert series takes place Fridays in May and June; individual tickets are $10 in advance.
Head to Wayside Park in Patrick County June 12-14 for a groovy three days of beachy tunes.
Seawall Music Festival – Portsmouth
The 45th iteration of this music festival will bring live entertainment, kids activities, food and drinks, and Saturday night fireworks to High Street Landing June 6-7.
Red Wing Roots Music Festival – Mt. Solon
The towering limestone structures of Natural Chimneys Park provide the background for this Shenandoah Valley music festival, set for June 20-22.
Williamsburg Live – Williamsburg
Part of the Virginia Arts Festival, Williamsburg Live takes place on the lawn of the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg June 20-22 with concerts each night. This year’s performers are The Concert: A Tribute to ABBA, The Band Perry, and The Beach Boys.
Point Break Music Festival – Virginia Beach
This festival for all things reggae will bring world-renowned artists to the Virginia Beach Boardwalk June 21-22.
Hampton Jazz & Music Festival – Hampton
Soak in the sounds at the legendary Hampton Jazz & Music Festival, taking place at the Hampton Coliseum June 27-29. Performers include Lucky Daye, PJ Morton, SWV, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, and Stephanie Mills.
