Summer is in full swing, and plenty of venues around Virginia are bringing artists of local, national, and international significance to play shows and fill festival lineups. Whether you want to jam out with the biggest names in rock, rap, and country, or discover someone new, there's a July concert for you in Virginia.

MUSIC FESTIVALS

Wintergreen Music Festival – Nellysford

Experience orchestra and chamber music performances inspired by nature in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The festival takes place July 2-26 at Wintergreen Resort.  
 

Shenandoah Valley Music Festival – Orkney Springs

Head to the lower pavilion at Shrine Mont for this concert series that starts July 17 and goes through the end of the summer. Featured performers this year include Little River Band, The Four Tops, and The Bacon Brothers.
 

Norfolk Latino Music Festival – Norfolk

Town Point Park on the waterfront will host the Norfolk Latino Music Festival on July 18. The free fest is in its 25th year and will feature live music, delicious cuisine, family-friendly activities, and dancing.
 

FloydFest – Check

Enjoy music and magic in the mountains at FloydFest: Daydream. Rock out with headliners Tedeschi Trucks Band, My Morning Jacket, Stephen Wilson Jr., and Lukas Nelson, plus don’t miss art installations and kid-friendly activities. This year’s festival will take place July 22-26 at Festival Park in Check.

RICHMOND CONCERTS

The National Theater opened in Richmond, Virginia with much fanfare in 1923. It became a part of the then-thriving downtown theater scene. Today it is a music-lover’s fantasyland with video screens, monitors, and seven full bars for visitors.
