DESTINATION INFORMATION

The Dinwiddie County Sports Complex, a pet free and smoke free facility, established operations in June of 2011. The multi purpose facility is located within Dinwiddie County at 5850 R.B. Pamplin Drive, Sutherland, VA 23885. The facility currently houses many athletic fields including a football stadium, full-sized baseball field, soccer stadium, and three (3) NCAA and high school level championship softball fields. The facility has been the host for numerous collegiate programs including; Virginia Commonwealth University Soccer, Richard Bland College, and multiple NCAA Division II baseball teams from as far away as seven states. In addition to numerous youth state and regional tournaments, the facility is now the proud home of the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association State Softball Championships. The facility is conveniently located near I-95, I-85, and US-460. Facility Awards 2012 VACo Award for "Best Facility" 2013 NACo Award for "Best Facility".
