Family Fun Awaits in Loudoun

Day 1

Begin your fun family trip with a bit of friendly competition at TopGolf.  This entertainment center features a unique twist on the classic game as you hit microchipped golf balls onto a large target. Order lunch from their extensive menu or relax on the roof deck.

From golf to history, tour the historic mansion of Morven Park. Home to a former Virginia governor, learn about 19th and 20th century agriculture and history from the Loudoun County perspective. After, visit Ball’s Bluff Battlefield Regional Park to learn about Loudoun’s role in the Civil War.  Continue into historic Leesburg to grab dinner at one of many locally owned restaurants including Lighfoot Restaurant, which is in an old bank building.

Return to the historic streets of Leesburg to be haunted by tales of the paranormal for your Leesburg Ghost Tour. If you can sleep after the ghost tour, check into one of Loudoun’s fantastic hotels or resorts that offer family activities throughout the year.

Day 2

Make sure to eat a hearty breakfast before setting out on your next adventure at Harpers Ferry Adventure Center. Pick from a variety of outdoor activities including zip lining, ropes courses and rafting. Make long lasting family memories while enjoying the beauty that is Virginia.

After working up an appetite, Dulles Town Center Mall offers a plethora of dining options, from the family favorite The Cheesecake Factory, to Red Robin, Benihana and more. There is something to please any palate!

After an adventurous morning, Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum –Udvar Hazy Center, located adjacent to Dulles International Airport, is the perfect way to spend the afternoon. Explore aircraft covering several decades, discover what lies in outer space and watch a film in the IMAX Theater.

The family fun continues at The Zone; play a game of Laser Tag, let the family run free on arcade games or bowl a few rounds. Don’t let the fun stop as you get hungry- The Zone features a full restaurant on site.

Day 3

Your final day in Loudoun County begins with breakfast before heading out to Western Loudoun County and Hill High Marketplace. Stop at Mom’s Apple Pie to grab some treats for the ride home or to take the neighbors.

Get lost in the corn maze, pick your own apples or pumpkins, take a wagon ride or browse the market at Great Country Farms. Sitting on 400 acres, this family friendly farm offers fun for all ages.  Head across the street for a wine tasting at Bluemont Vineyards or enjoy some craft beer at neighboring Dirt Farm Brewering. You’ll surely build an appetite exploring so before leaving, grab lunch at Stoneybrook Farm Market. If your car isn’t full yet, gather some more local goods to bring and keep the Loudoun, VA memories alive.
