Wonder Woman 1984
Wonder Woman 1984, Warner Bros. much-anticipated follow-up to 2017's record-breaking Wonder Woman, filmed in Alexandria, Virginia in June and July of 2018, with most local filming taking place inside the Landmark Mall. Set designers transformed the interior atrium into a bustling 1980s shopping mall in its neon heyday, with many classic storefronts making memorable cameos. The iconic Virginia is for Lovers brand will also be on the big screen, as part of a larger-than-life prop that features the authentic logo from the 1980s, originally created by The Martin Agency.

Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, and Pedro Pascal, and was released simultaneously in cinemas and on HBO Max beginning December 25, 2020.
The Virginia Film Office partnered with Warner Bros. to include a seven-foot-tall drum prop emblazoned with the Virginia is for Lovers logo on-screen during a scene filmed at the Landmark Mall in Alexandria. In the scene, Wonder Woman sends the villain of the moment memorably flying through the drum.
