Finding LOVE in Manassas and Prince William

Finding LOVE in Manassas and Prince William isn’t hard. Your heart steadily grows more in LOVE as you find your way into the heart of Prince William County and Historic Old Town Manassas.

Day 1

Start your day in Historic Old Town Manassas. The old and new, the traditional and the extraordinary, all are found amidst the quaint shops, museums and galleries of this historic Old Town. Snap a photo with the LOVEwork in Historic Old Town Manassas, located next to Harris Pavilion, a popular attraction on weekend nights in the spring and summer, with live outdoor concerts, performances, and more.

Stop by the Manassas Farmers Market on select days for fresh locally-grown produce or enjoy a tasting of some of finest and freshest olive oils and balsamic vinegars from around the world at the Manassas Olive Oil Company.

Experience local art and live performances, take a class, or take home your favorite piece at the Center for the Arts, Creative Brush Studio and Gallery or Manassas Clay.

Site of the first major battlefield (also known as the Battle of Bull Run) of the Civil War, Manassas National Battlefield Park is a "must see" for anyone who truly wishes to gain a sense for the Civil War. Another critical piece of Civil War history, the Ben Lomond Historic Site and Old Rose Garden was used as a hospital following the 1861 Battle of First Manassas. Learn more about Manassas’ rich history at the Manassas Museum.

Looking for summer family fun? Splashdown Waterpark features five water areas and includes: two 70 ft. waterslides, two fast cannonball slides, 770 ft. lazy river, children's area volleyball, tennis, and value meals with family prices.

Day 2

Continue your search for LOVE in Woodbridge. Home to Potomac Mills Mall, one of the largest Outlet Malls in Northern Virginia featuring more than 200 brand-name and manufacturer's outlets and a vast selection of eateries, too. Be sure to get your photo taken with the LOVEwork at Potomac Mills!

Spend the afternoon hiking, picnicking, fishing or boating at Leeslvania State Park. A new fishing pier, children’s playground, concessions area, visitor center and environmental education center are available.

Located adjacent to Quantico Marine Corps Base, the National Museum of the Marine Corps’ 210-foot tilted steel mast and glass atrium with suspended aircraft features is impressive for every age. Visitors learn about the history of the Marines through interactive activities and exhibits.

Head to the Historic Town of Occoquan and step into a living, breathing artists' community filled with over 100 shops. Designate a Virginia Historic Landmark, Occoquan offers everything from antiques, arts, crafts, fashions, and gifts to unique specialty shops for miniature enthusiasts and much more. Plan to spend the day. A walking tour guide and a "ghost" guide are available. Take a stroll through the beautiful River Mill Park and snap a photo with the LOVEwork in Occoquan.

Surrounded by the Occoquan and Potomac Rivers, the Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge is an ecological treasure and natural habitat of rare or nearly extinct in Northern Virginia.
