The Natural Bridge Caverns – the deepest caverns on the East Coast – are nearby, too. Wander back down to the Bridge at sunset for the presentation of the “Drama of Creation,” a nighttime illumination unlike any other you may have experienced. Stay at the Natural Bridge Historic Hotel & Conference Center for the night, or check into a cabin at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp Resort.

On the River and into the Night

If you enjoyed an overnight at Natural Bridge Historic Hotel, perhaps you purchased the Twin River Outfitter package that includes a paddle down the river? It’s an exhilarating experience on the James River, especially in the crisp fall air. Or, walk historic Lexington by way of a Haunting Tales Tour offered Saturday and Sunday nights through Halloween.

A Few Wild Encounters

Continue exploring our wild side with a visit through the Virginia Safari Park. Drive through or ride on the hay wagon and feed the animals. For rather unusual encounters, stop at Dino Kingdom II, an attraction from the wild mind of artist Mark Cline. A scenic afternoon ride to take in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains is the perfect way to end a day.
