It's the holiday season in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. Come experience the breathtaking beauty and holiday excitement of the Roanoke Valley.

Day One:

Head downtown for the annual Dickens of a Christmas, held the first three Friday’s in December. Enjoy carriage rides, roasted chestnuts, street performers and extended holiday shopping hours.

Enjoy dinner at Hollywood's Restaurant & Bakery before checking in at Hyatt Place Roanoke Airport/Valley View Mall, The Hotel Roanoke or Cambria Suites.

Day Two:

Head downtown to the Historic Roanoke City Market to get in some holiday shopping. The Roanoke Weiner Stand is a great place to grab a quick lunch before you're on to the newly renovated Center in the Square. Be sure to head up to the green rooftop for the best view of the city.

Don't miss the Science Museum’s living reef and Butterfly Garden. Kids of all ages will also love exploring the Virginia Museum of Transportation.

For dinner, consider The Regency Room at The Hotel Roanoke or The Roanoker.

Day Three:

Capture the holiday spirit with a performance of "The Nutcracker" by Southwest Virginia Ballet at the Roanoke Performing Arts Center.
