Copyright Notices

VTC respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. It is VTC’s policy, in appropriate circumstances and at its sole discretion, to disable or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe, or are charged with infringing, the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of others.

If you are a copyright owner (or their authorized agent), or are authorized to act under any exclusive right granted by the Copyright Act, and you believe that work residing on or accessible through VTC’s website, blog, or other social media platform infringes a copyright, please send a DMCA Notice of Alleged Infringement (“Notice”) to VTC’s Designated Copyright Agent:

Mitchell A. Rosenfeld
901 East Cary Street, Suite 900, Richmond, VA 23219-4048
(804) 545-5522
(804) 545-5501

Your Notice should contain the following information:

  • Contact information, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address (if available).
  • Identification of the work or material that you claim has been infringed. If multiple copyrighted works are covered by your Notice, you may provide a representative list of such works. If this material exists online, please provide a URL.
  • Identification of the material you claim is infringing, including its location on the VTC website, blog, or other social media platform, with sufficient detail so that VTC may locate the material. Typically, VTC will need a reference or link (URL) to the material.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your Notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.
  • A physical or electronic signature of the owner, or a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of the copyright that you claim has been infringed.

Upon receipt of a Notice, VTC will expeditiously take any action, in its sole discretion, it deems appropriate, which may include removal of the allegedly infringing material from the VTC website, blog, or other social media platform. If VTC removes or disables access to content in response to a Notice, VTC may notify the user with details about the Notice, including a copy of the Notice, so that the user may submit a counter-notice.
