All roads lead to Virginia during Festival season - and year round in fact. The Old Dominion has something for everyone, from the Woodstock wannabe, to the free-range flatfooter, to those with the stamina to survive the crowds, heat and security-barrier crush at a huge summer "'palooza".
But the music unites all with big and small festivals alike, including the American Music Festival in Virginia Beach, Lockn’ Festival near Wintergreen, and the Galax Old Fiddler’s Convention, FloydFest, and Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion in southwest and more southwest Virginia, respectively. There's some kind of music festival nearly every weekend all over the state from before Memorial day to late October, with endless accompanying food, art, history and fun.
